Wow, been a long time!

It's been a long time since I've updated this site, and I vow to continue up dating it and keep writing!

I've been trying to go to court to get my manuscript and money back from the fake agency, but I have to wait until they actually use my novel (white face) before I go after them. That sucks...

So I've been working on SH (Silent Howl) and it will be published for real!

I also won NaNoWriMo 09 this year!!

National Novel Writing Month. 30 days of 50,000 words!

Getting to it

Posted at 05:49 PM on February 07, 2009 Comments comments (0)

I almost sent my manuscript to the Agent without sending it to myself first.

-headdesk-

Stupid right?!

Wow.

So anyway, congrats on my friend Renee for making her new website for her novels and mentioning me alot.

Woot!

I missing 3 scenes and all of ch. 5 still, but other than that, Part 1 'Innocence' of three parts. (Not including book 2 part 1 that I have outlined) Is done.

Have I mentioned this yet? For every part there is 6 chapters, and I found out I had four parts, but the fourth part didn't fit, so I'm making a a sequel called, Red Tongue(s) and a thrid called, Green(or Blue) Eyes.

That's it for now!

Sequel to White Face?

Posted at 04:24 PM on February 01, 2009 Comments comments (0)

So for every part of White Face there are six chapters.  There are more than four parts to White Face, and I only want it to be three. So I need names for White Face's sequel.

Yet to send in my chapters

I got a letter back a week ago, but I've haven't had the time to work on my first six chapters to send to them. I hope they're willing to wait. It's the week at my school for finals and changing classes. I will say when I send it in though!

I got an e-mail back

To be completely honest with myself and to my friends and fans that look at this site, I will copy and paste all that is said so you know I'm not exagerating as you all like to judge me, haha!

Illustrations other than the cover?: no
Edited: No
Salessupport: I would be able to make myself available anytime to promote
the book at book sales. I also have a website for my novel ideas and a
YouTube account where I make trailers for my books. I have gotten a lot of
feedback from strangers saying that they would love to read my book when it
comes out and to message them sometime. I also have a lot of friends within
my school to help me promote my novel; I am the president of my school's
Literary Magazine.  I have had no other publishers, editors, or agencies.
This is my first choice and attempt to get my novel out to the world
professionally.
Bio: I'm a seventeen year old senior in high school. I've been writing since
seventh grade and I would like to try and publish my first work. I am hoping
to go to college to become an English teacher, and possibly, become and
editor or publisher.

Title: White Face
Synopsis: After the world is almost completely destroyed from an alien
attack in the year 2000, the Earth is split up in a civil war between West
Side and East Side.  A second alien race called the White Face fight for
Earth and become our planet's greatest ally.
Now in the year 2009, Madison (Mad Maddie) Grey is a survivor living as
a prodigy assassin, working for the West Side government group known as the
Innocence Project. She and her partner Tadoc, a White Face, spend their time
and missions together against East Side and protecting the president's son,
Jacob.
However, one night Maddie's comrades agree they need a break; they're
only seventeen years old; they deserve to live a little! She is dragged away
from her post for a rave party down town. That's where Maddie meets Tyson
and they learn they are from the same town by playing 20 questions. Both are
amazed to find each other, because their town was one of the first to be
destroyed.
Suddenly, the girls get a distress signal and rush back to their
headquarters. They learn that Tadoc's been kidnapped. Maddie begs the West
Side council for help to find her White Face partner. She is denied, so she
leaves the government and searches for Tadoc.
She'll stop at nothing, even if it means she has to go to the 'other
side' (East Side), where the war is, to find him. She is joined by Truitt, a
very strange man whose White Face, Synook, is Tadoc's brother. Also helping
Maddie is Cripticon, Tadoc's youngest brother, joined with his human partner
Kim Keller. Along the way, the president's son Jacob decides to stow away
and tag along for the ride. As a result, Maddie, Truitt, and Kim become
fugitives on the run! Maddie is convicted of kidnapping the president's son
because the council wouldn't help her find Tadoc.
Suddenly, the gang is thrown into the criminal world for kidnapping and
conspiracy against the Innocence Project. With only Tyson to help them from
West Side, and East Side constantly attacking, they have no other choice but
to search for Tadoc's clues and figure out a mystery that is bigger than
them all.

((Their responce))

Ask your parents to read this.

See below please...

Dear Parent of a Minor:

We are proud of what your child has accomplished and the fact they are "out
there" and writing somewhat professionally.  And, there are success stories
of minors becoming published, so we're hopeful of success for all of us.
However, we never sugarcoat the odds. The odds are long, long, and long.

We also want you to understand a bit more about the industry.  Our buyers
don't care what the age of the writer is.  So, we don't either.  This also
means that we don't give special treatment to minors. We treat them as
adults and we will communicate with them the same way we talk to the
attorneys, doctors, and other clients that we have on our roster.

Most agencies won't even consider a minor.  We do because our founders were
young entrepreneurs and they want to 'give back' wherever they can.  We like
young spirit and we are supportive of what your child has accomplished thus
far.

Please feel free to email me any questions you may have, but for the most
part, we'll just continue with your child as we would an adult writer.

(( But were did that leave me? I had no idea where to go next, so I sent this reply.))

Thank you for taking your time to read my submission form and contact me back, and if my mother or I have any questions, we will surly reply to this e-mail account. We both understand, and I personally appreciate your way of treating authors my age like adults and not to sugarcoat situations. (I am a 'the-glass-is-half-empty' kind of girl.)
I have a question however; what do we do now? I know that you will most likely ask to see some of my novel some time sooner or later, but is there a specific way that I send it to you? Or would you approve of me to copy and paste it in a response or new e-mail message?
Again, thank you for your time and effort to help me.

Getting an Agent

Posted at 12:06 PM on January 09, 2009 Comments comments (0)

Thanks to my friend Renee from LINES, I am getting ready to finish chapters 1-6 of White Face and send to an Agency to be edited and soon after be published. That's if all goes well. I hope it does.

I'll probably send the letter on monday, or when I get the internet back, but still most likely monday when I'm at school. And my graduation project was pushed back to Friday of next week, so I have another whole week to work on more of White Face as my product. Go me!
