Silent Howl was my first novel idea.
     It was about a teenage girl who lived with her family in a small town, and who fell in love with her guy best friend, who was a human. In the beginning, her pack, (and many others) disappear when they travel to the mountains to have their yearly pack meetings. Because Maddie, (my character) and three other young werewolves hadn’t even been a 'full' werewolf for a year, they were made to stay home. (The werewolves do not change into beasts until they become teenagers.)

 

     Maddie struggles as the daughter of the Leader to keep the remaining three wolves together. Blasia tries to take over Maddie's rank, being the oldest, while Shay constantly breaks the werewolf laws and traditions by partying with humans every night. Regan, the only male, seems to forget about being a werewolf and embraces human life ever since the packs disappearance. Maddie finds herself slowly pulling away from the packs laws as well when she becomes romantically involved with her human best friend, Tyson.

    Months pass, and two rogue wolves try and take Maddie's territory, while a band of vampires seek revenge against her pack for a murder that they did not commit, and are framed by a band of human hunters.
